Live Music

Photographing live music has always been a real passion of mine. There’s something about the raw energy of a performance that I love to capture and I’m often drawn to black and white to strip everything back to what really matters; emotion, movement and connection. My aim is to go beyond simply documenting a gig and instead preserve the atmosphere and spirit that make live music so unforgettable.

I’m particularly inspired by the texture and grain of a traditional film look, which gives my images depth, character and a timeless quality. Using bold contrasts and monochromatic tones, I focus on revealing the true essence of the artist; the intensity, vulnerability and quiet moments that happen between the noise.

Each photograph is about more than the second it was taken. I want every image to stand on its own as a lasting piece of art, capturing the rhythm, emotion and soul of live music long after the final note has faded.
